Reframing Mountain Biking 2025
Sunday Workshops and Rides

A bonus day of activities, presented by the UK MTB Alliance and the Dean Forest Volunteers, at the Forest of Dean Cycle Centre.

Bristol is a fantastic hub for MTB, located close to South Wales, FoD, Exmoor, Dartmoor, the Mendips and more. So it made sense to show that off with a field trip over the Bridge to the Forest of Dean.

09.30 – 10.30
Adaptive Trails Workshop

Group Ride and Workshop

A short adaptive trails workshop, using the variety of trails the Cycle Centre has on offer, many of which have already been made adaptive bike friendly. We’ll look at different examples of trails, trail features and pinch points and discuss approaches and techniques that you can take away and apply to your own trails to make them accessible to adaptive riders.

11.00 – 12.00
FoD Showcase Ride

Group Ride and Talk

DTV’s Andy Davies and FE’s Kate Thoday will give us a ride-and-talk tour of the Cycle Centre’s trails, bringing to life some of the things they covered in Friday’s conference, showing how collaboration between DTV and FE has produced one of the best and most inclusive MTB destinations in the UK.

12.30 – 15.00
Social Ride

A social ride that will take in some of the highlights of the Forest of Dean’s many trails, finishing up mid-afternoon.
